    Michael Buyze,
    MS, C.Ac., Dipl.Ac.

    Founder – East Wind Healthcare

Mike has nearly 40 years of healthcare experience. He founded East Wind in 1998 as his private acupuncture practice and has worked to grow it to the three-location, integrated acupuncture and functional Chinese medical clinic it is today.

In the past 20 years, he has overseen more than 50,000 acupuncture treatments to some 4,000 different people and provided comprehensive wellness services to many others.

He holds three master’s degrees, including a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine from the prestigious Midwest College of Oriental Medicine, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from UW-Oshkosh, and a Master of Science in Exercise Physiology with a specialty in Preventive and Rehabilitative Cardiovascular Health from George Williams College, where he was a member of their charter class.

In the first 15 years of his career, Mike gained extensive experience in designing and implementing cardiac rehabilitation, diabetes management, and wellness programs as a manager and consultant in a dozen hospitals throughout northeastern Wisconsin, which subsequently have served tens of thousands of people throughout the region.

As a healthcare entrepreneur, Mike is always looking at ways to integrate the latest technology with the ancient wisdom that is traditional Chinese medicine. This led him to medically integrate East Wind in 2014, which included adding an MD and a nurse practitioner/physician’s assistant to create a medical services team.

The addition of this team complements the work already being done by the Chinese medicine practitioners at East Wind, but provides greater flexibility in the development of new programs and the expansion of services.

These integrated medical services include physical medicine, medical weight loss, comprehensive wellness and the management of autoimmune and other chronic conditions. The team focuses on identifying and fixing the true underlying cause of problems with an emphasis on lifestyle and a reduction in medication.

Mike continues looking toward the future and is always working on better ways to help people solve their health problems and live the life they deserve.

She is a graduate of Midwest College of Oriental Medicine, earning a Master of Science degree in Oriental Medicine and a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition in 2010.

She is board certified in acupuncture by the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and is licensed to practice acupuncture in the State of Wisconsin.

    Pam Oudenhoven
    Insurance and Patient Accounts

Pam Oudenhoven handles all aspects of patient accounts and medical records, from insurance benefit inquiries, pre-authorizations, claims submission, payment posting and collection.

Believing that each of us has the right to choose the course and type of care we want, Pam is a staunch advocate for patients. Because of her diligence and experience in collecting from insurance companies, we have billed out more acupuncture services to third-party payers (insurance) than any other clinic in Wisconsin.

Pam joined our staff in 2010 after working as the billing manager for a chiropractic office.

    Angie Sengenberger
    Case Manager and Health Coach

Angie Sengenberger, who joined our staff in 2017, serves in a dual role of case manager and health coach. She recently studied advanced human potential training from the Bulletproof Training Institute.

    Jamie Spice
    Receptionist

Jamie Spice, who joined our staff in 2016, is East Wind’s primary scheduler and receptionist. She is in charge of coordinating the flow in our busy clinic, where, in any given week, up to 80 people receive as many as 150 different services.

In addition, she answers the phone, greets our guests, escorts patients to treatment rooms and follows up on any missed appointments.
